The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ETA) has introduced specific requirements for invoices to ensure the accuracy and validity of transactions. According to E-Invoicing guidelines set forth by ETA, effective from December 4, 2021, and January 1, 2023, encoded QR Codes containing custom data are mandatory for various types of invoices and credit or debit notes.
