GCT E-Invoicing Compliance Phases

The General Commission for Taxes (GCT) in Iraq has not implemented e-invoicing, but a future system could roll out in phases targeting taxpayers by annual taxable revenue. Each phase would specify a compliance deadline for businesses exceeding revenue thresholds in specific years. No phases exist as of now, with rollout speculative. Here’s a hypothetical list:

Phase 1: TBD

Taxpayers with annual turnover exceeding IQD 1 billion in a prior year must integrate their e-invoicing systems with GCT’s platform.

Phase 2: TBD

Taxpayers with annual turnover exceeding IQD 500 million in a prior year must integrate their e-invoicing systems with GCT’s platform.
